Search is shifting toward generative answers

A growing share of searches now end with an AI answer rather than a list of links. To be cited in those answers, your site must be crawlable by AI robots, structured in a machine-readable way, and correctly indexed. That's exactly what the AI-Ready Score measures — the discipline known as GEO (Generative Engine Optimization).

Four dimensions

For each check, the tool reports a status, the evidence observed, the reference and the remediation.

Dimension 1

AI discoverability

Presence of an llms.txt and a robots.txt allowing GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended.

Dimension 2

Structured data

schema.org JSON-LD: Organization, WebSite and rich types (Article, FAQPage, Product) for reliable machine reading.

Dimension 3

Indexability

XML sitemap and canonical tag so engines can find and deduplicate your pages.

Dimension 4

Sharing metadata

Complete Open Graph (title, description, image, type) for consistent previews and citations.

How it works

  1. You enter the URL of your site.
  2. The tool scans llms.txt, robots.txt, the JSON-LD, the sitemap, the canonicals and Open Graph.
  3. You get a score out of 100 + the priority items — for free.
  4. The detailed action plan (each check + remediation, in quick-win order) is €19 excl. VAT.

Frequently asked questions

AI-Ready Score: your questions

AI visibility, llms.txt, robots, structured data, free score — the essentials before you launch your analysis.

What is the AI-Ready Score?

It's a score out of 100 measuring your site's ability to be discovered, understood and cited by generative engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude). It aggregates four dimensions: AI discoverability, structured data, indexability and sharing metadata. The score and the priority items are free.

Does blocking GPTBot stop you from appearing in ChatGPT?

Yes, largely. GPTBot is OpenAI's crawler: if it's disallowed in your robots.txt, ChatGPT cannot crawl your pages to cite them in its answers with browsing. Blocking GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot or Google-Extended therefore sharply reduces your visibility in the matching generative answers.

Do you need an llms.txt file to be visible to AI?

It isn't mandatory, but it is recommended. The llms.txt standard gives engines a structured summary of your site and its key pages, making them easier to understand. It's only one factor among several: structured data (JSON-LD), a clean sitemap and allowing AI robots matter at least as much.

Does structured data improve citation by AI?

Yes. schema.org JSON-LD markup (Organization, WebSite, Article, FAQPage…) makes your content explicit and unambiguous for machines. Generative engines rely on these signals to extract reliable facts and attribute sources, which increases your chances of being cited correctly.

Is the score free?

Yes. The overall score and the priority items are free and require no account. Only the detailed action plan — each check, its evidence, its reference and the concrete remediation, ordered by quick wins — is paid, at €19 excl. VAT.

How is this different from classic SEO?

SEO targets ranking on traditional search engine result pages. The AI-Ready Score targets visibility in generative engine answers (GEO, Generative Engine Optimization): discoverability by AI crawlers, semantic structuring and citability. The two overlap, but the priorities differ.
